Siliguri, May 18 : The Indian forces, guarding the international borders with Nepal, have detained 22 Nepali nationals while they were illegally crossing the border towards that country from the West Bengal side, official sources said today.
They are basically the migrant workers, aged between 18 and 30, who have been engaged at a project at Matigara near here. They have been detained by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) while attempting to cross Indian line at the border outpost of Panitani under Darjeeling district on Sunday evening. The detained Nepali nationals would be produced before a local court for judicial process by the West Bengal police. (UNI)
