Texas Police Chief in USA thanks Kolkata Police for taking care of elderly parents of NRIs

Kolkata, Apr 9: Texas Police chief of Cyber Crime has thanked Kolkata Police chief

of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate "for taking care of elderly parents of NRI's in its jurisdiction," whose sons and daughters are now in the USA, in the face of COVID -19

threats.

City's Salt Lake posh area in eastern part of this metropolis is comparatively less populated where many elderly people live but their sons and daughters live outside

the country for job and research works, are now facing tough time in getting daily needs and other logistics to be alive during lock-down situations. Since the elderly

people are vulnerable to Novel Coronavirus, they feared to get out out of home. The Bidhanagar Police Commissionerate, however, besides its duty of maintaining

law and order situation, also launched the social services for the elderly people, particularly, who have no other alternative under the current situation.

" Just wanted to say thank you for taking care of the elderly parents of quite a few NRI's in your jurisdiction," wrote chief of cyber crime and covert operations, Texas Police, USA, K Sanyal.

The letter addressed to the Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar stated " This is a difficult time worldwide and we all law enforcing agencies are trying to do out best.Stay safe sir,"(UNI)
