Kolkata, Sep 19 : Metro services in the city were affected this morning after an unidentified man allegedly jumped before a speeding train at Rabindra Sadan station in south Kolkata.
Police investigating the alleged suicide case said the, man in his 50s, jumped before the Kavi Subash bound train around 07 45 hours and his body got mangled with the iron wheels. This caused suspension of services until the body was evacuated and the doctors at the SSKM Hospital declared him dead.
Metro Railway officials said the man,who is yet to be identified, had purchased a token of Rs 5 before jumping on to the track. (UNI)
