” This is an election to decide who will form the government at Centre,” Mamata

Agency News

Kurseong, Apr12 : " This is an election to decide who will form the government at the Centre, " said Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday.
" They should give an account of what they have done in five years, " she stated during an election rally here.
" The BJP wants to implement NRC in Bengal. We will not allow that. They have excluded the names of 40 lakh people in Assam – including Bengalis, Nepalis, Biharis and others, " she commented.
" We will not allow the citizenship amendment bill. Under this Bill, you will become a foreigner for six years. Whether you will become a citizen again is uncertain, " Ms Banerjee asserted.
" Some leaders are instigating people via Facebook. I want to ask Mr Bimal Gurung, what has the BJP MP done for the Hills? Did the BJP not get a single worthy candidate from the Hills to contest the polls? Why did they bring a candidate from Manipur? " she questioned.
" We do not make false promises. Modi promised Rs 15 lakh will be deposited in every bank account. But they did not keep their promises. They promised to create 10 crore jobs in five years but in reality, 2 crore jobs were lost in 2017-18, " she iterated.
" Demonetisation has destroyed the economy. Businessmen and traders are suffering due to GST. More than 12,000 farmers committed suicide. They have said they will double farmers’ income by 2022. We have already tripled farmers’ income, " Ms Banerjee said.
" They came to Kalimpong yesterday in a helicopter, gave a speech and left. I come regularly to the Hills, by road, " the Chief Minister stated.
