Kolkata, Mar 19 : The notification for the second phase Lok Sabha election to three Parliamentary seats in West Bengal was issued today by the Election Commission.
Polling for three Lok Sabha constituencies Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling and Raiganj will be held in the Second phase on April 18.With the issue of notification, the nomination process began.
The last date of filing nomination is March 26.The scrutiny of nominations will be undertaken on March 27 and last date for withdrawal is March 29.West Bengal will witness seven phases of election for 42 Parliamentary seats.
In the Second phase polling will take place on April 18 in three North Bengal districts.
Voting in first phase will take place on April 11, second phase on April 18, third phase on April 23, fourth phase on April 29, fifth phase on May 6, sixth phase on May 12 and seventh and final phase on May 19.
The counting will be held on May 23. (UNI)
