Belda, Mar 12: In a time of Parliamentary elections mode around West Bengal, over half-a-quintal explosives, 40 kgs gun powder and 15 kilos of sulfur, have been seized by the West Bengal police and a person have been for hoarding the dangerous chemical at his house in West Medinipur' Belda area, police said today.

of explosives from Tala Bridge in north Kolkata. Bengal Police following a tip off raided the house of Lochan Das at Gurdhola village under Belda on Monday evening and seized the explosives, which were stacked into a hidden room.
Local people alleged that the accused had been trading the explosives for long time from his house, covered around the high walls. The accused would be produced before a court at Datan later today.
Special Task Force of the city police recently seized a truck and 1000 kgs of explosive materials from Balasore in Odisha. Both the driver and helper, from Odisha, were arrested. The STF after interrogating them held another kingpin from Basirhat in North 24 Parganas. UNI
