Islampur, Mar 8: A teenage girl was shot at in a cross firing during clashes between ruling Trinamool Congress and BJP supporters over a party office in West Bengal's North Dinajpur, police investigating the politics related crime said today.
Teenage girl identified as Prianka Singh, a class X student, admitted to Islampur Mohokuma hospital with alleged bullet wound on her leg this morning. The trouble began for some days which took turn to a bloody violence this morning over setting up a party office of TMC at Kumartol village under Chopra block where flags of the ruling party were found torn and a BJP supporter, accused of tearing up flags, was beaten up, resulting clashes flared between the rival parties.
During clashes where arms were allegedly used and the girl was shot at during cross firing. (UNI)
