Kolkata, Mar 2 : The Criminal Investigating Department (CID) of West Bengal Police probing ruling Trinamool Congress MLA Satryajit Biswas' murder on February 9, has summoned BJP's Nadia district president Jagannath Sarkar to appear before the investigating officers at Bhawani Bhawan.
Biswas, who was representing Krishnaganj constituency in Nadia, was shot dead from point blank range on the eve of Swarasati puja at a community pandal after he unveiled the celebration.
The CID on Friday had summoned Jagannath Sarkar to appear, but latter in a letter sought a week's time to face the probing officials.
The CID in a fresh summon on Saturday called him to appear at Bhawani Bhawan, the headquarters of West Bengal police.
After the murder of the TMC MLA the CID has been asked to probe the brazen lethal attack on the legislator and nearly five persons have been arrested so far. In the FIR four people have been accused in the murder in which BJP leader Mukul Roy's name also figured. UNI
