Eight people injured in wolves attack at Jhargram

Jhargram, Feb 14 : As many as eight people, five men and three women, have been wounded in wolves' attacks at three villages of Jhargram district of West Bengal recently, even as the wild life official's several attempts to cage the beast failed evoking resentment and panic among the villagers.

The forest department officials said reports of wolves attacks came from Phukuria, Nedabohora and Jarulia villages where five men and three women sustained injuries on their faces and head and all have been admitted to Jhargram hospital. One of the injured has been taken to Medinipur Medical College and hospital.

Two months ago three people were attacked by the canine animal in which one person died of wounds recently. The forest department has set up tracks and cages by the animals remained elusive. The forest officials also campaign urging the people not to venture into the forest. (UNI)
