Purulia, Feb 5: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said nothing can be more shameful for a democracy than a chief minister sitting on a dharna.
Addressing a public meeting here, Mr Yogi said, poor people exploited under Mamata Banerjee's rule.
She is trying to protect officer allegedly involved in Saradha scam, he alleged.
The UP chief minister said Mamata Banerjee doesn't believe in democratic values.
He said, ' If BJP comes to power in Bengal, the TMC goons in the state will roam around with a board around their neck that says 'spare me', like the SP-BSP goons in UP do. '
BJP will free Bengal of corruption, Mr Yogi said.
He said Mamata Banerjee obstructed Hindu processions like Durga Puja but allowed others.
“We can establish India as a great nation. Under the Modi government, India has become a superpower but the money allotted for the farmers does not reach them it is gobbled up by leaders.They are defending and protecting scamsters,” the UP chief minister said.
“This West Bengal government is embroiled in undemocratic and unconstitutional activities and that is the reason why a 'sanyasi' and 'yogi' like me is not being allowed to step on the soil of Bengal,” Mr Yogi added.
