Kolkata, Feb 02 : Kick starting BJP’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has slammed Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee saying TMC has slaughtered democracy in West Bengal. He was speaking at Durgapur.
He also said the people of Bengal will root out Mamata in the next election. Praising Union Budget 2019, he said: “Small farmers will get benefit from the budget. In the budget, Rs. 6000 allocated to the 12 crore farmers of the country.” He also touched upon the Citizenship bill saying every Hindu of Bengal should be given citizenship in the country.
During his visit,Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the Railway electrification of 294- km-long Andal- Sainthia-Pakur-Malda and Khana- Sainthia Sections.
Earlier, he also addressed a rally at Thakurnagar at Bongaon in North 24 Parganas. On Saturday morning he arrived at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) airport. Electrification of this section will enable ease of transportation of coal, stone chips and ballast to North and North East India in a seamless manner.
He will also dedicate the 20 km long Hijli- Narayangarh third line to the nation.(UNI)
