As part of BJP President Amit Shah’s rally at Midnapore in West Bengal, violence was reported and several vehicles parked near the venue were vandalized.
BJP workers say that the vehicles that were used to ferry BJP workers of the rally were vandalized. Both the BJP and the ruling Trinamool Congress blamed each other for the violence. BJP alleged that the miscreants of TMC vandalised 50-60 buses while the rally was underway.
It is said that the violence erupted soon after Amit Shah’s rally got over. This has led to utter chaos is the area. BJP leader Mukul Roy said that the goons of the ruling party carried on this attack. However, TMC district president Sisir Adhikari rejected all such allegations and said that the BJP themselves did it to create violence in the area.
