Bengal police against actor Loket Chaterjee for provocative speech

Seuri, Jan 7: The West Bengal Police has filed an FIR against BJP's women leader Locket Chatterjee and seven other party activists for alleged provocative speeches against the police forces.

Tollywood actor turned politician Locket Chatterjee during a party rally at Rampur under Mohammed Bazar in Birbhum district on Sunday allegedly called upon the women to take up arms for their safeguard and if necessary even attack on police forces for " they have become partisan forces."

The Birbhum district police today filed the FIR naming Locket Chatterjee and party leader Kalasona Mondal and six others under non-bailable sections. Locket Chatterjee alleged that the police forces have become partisan.

District police chief Shayam Singh also claimed that the district authorities would also filed an another case for the party which has not sought a permission to hold and meeting at Rampur. (UNI)
