Modi reaches Uttarakhand; to launch development scheme

Dehradun, Feb 14 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reached Uttarakhand's Udham Singh Nagar, where he will launch the State Cooperative Integrated Development Scheme and address a rally.

Mr Modi's special aircraft touched down at Jolly Grant Airport at 7am. Due to inclement weather, his MI7 helicopter could not take off from the airport. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat had not reached the airport when the Prime Minister deboarded the helicopter.

The Prime Minister's programme of alighting at Jolly Grant Airport, prior to Uddham Singh Nagar was kept a secret.

Mr Modi reached State Guest house at airport. Mr Rawat left his residence for Jolly Grant but returned from mid-way.

Reports say that after weather conditions improve, Mr Modi will visit Jim Corbett National Park at Ramnagar where he will stay for two hours. Later, he will leave for Udham Singh Nagar. (UNI)
