Siddharthnagar, Jun 3 : A migrant worker succumbed to COVID-19, taking the toll of people succumbing to the infection to three in this Uttar Pradesh district on Wednesday. Chief Medical Officer Dr Seema Rai here said that ten members of a family, including five minors, tested positive for the novel coronavirus. They reside in the Khesraha block of the Bansi tehsil.
Now, the total number of patients affected by COVID-19 in the district is 136 out of which three have died. The CMO said that 65 patients, who had recovered were discharged and 75 patients are currently undergoing treatment in COVID-19 hospitals. Dr Rai said that so far, 2,840 samples have so far been tested in the district and the results of 280 suspects are awaited. (UNI)
