Prayagraj, May 22 : With the identification of five more cases, the total number of patients affected by the novel coronavirus increased to 60 in this Uttar Pradesh district, Nodal Officer said on Friday. Nodal Officer Dr Rishi Sahai said that 91 samples were tested, late Thursday evening out of which, 86 people tested negative.
Five people tested positive and all of them have returned from Mumbai. Dr Sahai said that out of the total 60 patients, 17 have recovered while three others had succumbed to the infection.
There are now 40 active cases in the district who are undergoing treatment at Kotwa Bani COVID-19 hospital and Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital. (UNI)
