Aurangabad, May 16: Another Shramik Special train will leave for Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh from here on Saturday night carrying around 1,600 migrant labourers in the district and other districts of Marathwada region due to lockdown imposed in the wake of Covid19 pandemic.
The special train will leave for Lucknow at around 2000 hours, deputy district collector Appasaheb Shinde said. He further said that only those who have been given passes for the journey will get entry in the train, after the medical screening, by following social distancing norms. Others should not rush to the railway station, MrShinde added.
Notably, four trains have already left for the northern states from Aurangabad, while such trains have also been arranged from Jalna and Nanded. Besides the trains, State Transport buses and trucks were also ferrying out the migrant workers to their respective states from different cities of Maharashtra. (UNI)
