Lucknow, May 4: Uttar Pradesh government has urged the other state governments to send back the migrants by trains for better management and a hassle-free journey. CM Yogi Adityanath government is in talks with other states regarding it. " The CM wants that every divisional headquarters get at least one special train from other states," said State Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Awnish Awasthi here on Monday .
There are 18 divisions in UP and 20 special trains are slated to reach the state in coming days. Yesterday, two trains reached from Maharashtra, one in Lucknow and another in Kanpur. Besides, two special trains from Maharashtra also reached Gorakhpur with 2263 passengers from Maharashtra today. A total of six trains, two each from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Punjab are expected to reach UP Tuesday, he said. "We are also in talk with governments of Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan and others for bringing the migrant workers by trains," he added. (UNI)
