Lucknow, Apr 28 : Asserting that the Centre should be cautious in procuring testing equipments, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Tuesday said that the fight against Coronavirus epidemic should not be weakened in any way. In a tweet, Ms Mayawati said that as was well-known that during the Congress rule at the Centre, there was a lot of corruption in the preparation of Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, especially in the items procured from abroad. Alongside, the money meant for the welfare of the poor Dalits was also diverted and spent inappropriately, she further said.
"Hence, the current BJP government at the Centre should learn a lesson from the same and exercise caution while procuring testing equipments, specifically those related to testing the Coronavirus so that the fight against the Coronavirus is not weakened at any cost. This is the BSP's demand as well as appeal", the BSP honcho added. (UNI)
