UP to bring back state labourers stranded in other states

Lucknow, Apr 24: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday directed the officials to bring back the labourers from other states who want to return back to their native place here .

These labourers of other states should have completed 14 days in quarantine in the place where they are staying and would be brought back on a phase manner, the CM directed the Team 11 officials during his routine meeting here on Friday. " The concerned nodal officers of of different states should prepare a list of the people who want to return to UP and start making arrangements for their return, " he said.

" The nodal officers should contact the respective states with contacting the labourers and other people who want to return and start process of their screening and testing ," the CM asked the officials . Yogi said that these people from other states would be brought by state government buses at the border of UP and from there they will be sent to their respective districts. However , the CM said that the people returning from other states will again have to go for 14 days quarantine in the shelter homes in their native districts.

"These shelter homes should be sanitised and community kitchens should be set up their for the quarantine labourers of other states. When these quarantine labourers complete 14 days there , they should be sent to their home by giving them rations," CM said . Earlier last week on the directive of the CM , around 10,500 students from Kota in Rajasthan were brought to the state by pressing in service around 300 buses. Later these students were asked to go in quarantine in their houses for next 14 days. (UNI)
