COVID-19: Positive cases in UP touch 448

Lucknow, Apr 11: With the total number of Novel Coronavirus cases rising to 448 on Saturday in Uttar Pradesh, after 15 new cases, the Yogi Adityanath government focused all it's attention on the hotspots, which has around 80 per cent of the positive cases.

The strategy of the UP government on the hotspot has been appreciated in the country and several states have adopted this in their states, claimed state Additional Chief Secretary of Home Awnish Awasthi, here. Of the total cases, 254 included those, who had either attended the religious congregation, organised by Tablighi Jamaat at Markaz Nizamuddin in New Delhi last month, or those who came in contact with them. The new cases include four from Meerut, three each from Agra, Lucknow and Ghaziabad and one each in Bulandshahr and Bhadoi.

Besides, eight had links with the Nizamuddin event. (UNI)
