Lucknow, Apr 3: Expressing concern on incidents of health workers treating patients getting infected with coronavirus and reports of misbehavior with them, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said that the government should make proper arrangements for the security of the medical personnel.
Yadav said reports of doctors and health workers getting infected is concerning. The reports of misbehavior with the doctors and other health workers who are serving people in these challenging times are also condemnable. Apart from the protective equipment, the government should also ensure proper arrangements for their full security, he added. He said that to maintain public confidence, there are also some expectations from the government which should be met in time. The government should also pay attention to the fact that due to the down server of the Public Distribution System (PDS), the people stood in queues for the whole day without food and water in Lucknow during the ongoing lockdown.
Yadav claimed that due to administrative arbitrariness, the people could not get grains in Aligarh, Amroha, Sambhal, Auraiyya, Azamgarh while in many places, the grains were distributed at lesser weight than prescribed. (UNI)
