31 UP high-school students caught for age fudging

Meerut, Feb 22 : As many as 31 students of Major Asaram Inter College were apprehended for appearing in the high-school examination by tampering with Aadhar cards in the Hastinapur area of this Uttar Pradesh district on Saturday morning.

According to SDM Rishiraj here, action is being taken against the students who were taking the examination in a wrongful manner. The students are said to be registered in Prasandi Devi Inter College, Dariyapur. The SDM said the students were appearing in the high-school examinations at Major Asaram Inter College examination center after reducing their ages in the Aadhar card.

Police sources here said when the SDM, who reached the college to carry out a surprise inspection, verified the Aadhar cards of these students, their ages were found to be different. Following this, the students were taken to the police station in a school bus. Further investigation is underway. (UNI)
