IIM to help UPSRTC to provide better service to commuters

Lucknow, Sep 21 : Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow professors along with students have come up to improve the services of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC).

UPSRTC managing director Dr Raj Shekhar here on Saturday said that state transport has prepared a case study with support of IIM Lucknow team to ensure better facilities for commuters and improve service.

Dr Sekhar said that Kshitij Awasthi, head of department, Strategic Management IIM Lucknow will lead the case study. In the first phase, four members of IIM (L) team will study deeply about current provisions for security and facility arrangements. This team will study four regions Western UP, Eastern UP, Central UP and Bundelkhand to provide possible suggestions for improvement and evaluate current scenario.

He said that the team will submit the detailed reports in three months’ time. The report will be presented to UPSRTC in December. UPSRTC will align the suggestions regarding security and service provided to commuters, provided in the final report of the team later. (UNI)
