Lucknow, Jul 23 : Yogi Adityanath government on Tuesday tabled its first supplementary budget to the tune of Rs 13, 594.87 crore for the current fiscal 2019-20 in the state Assembly.
State Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal tabled the supplementary budget just after the Question Hour in presence of the Chief Minister. The supplementary budget has sought funds mostly for the infrastructure and other necessary projects underway in the state. The government has also sought funds for its religious tourism in Ayodhya and other places too.
The UP government, on February 7, had presented the annual budget for 2019-20 of Rs 4.79 lakh crore, the biggest ever. The budget was, however, passed by the Assembly without any debate.
The Assembly will discuss the supplementary grants and will approve the appropriation bill on Wednesday.
