Lucknow, May 14: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has said the BJP and their ally organisations were running an organised disinformation campaign against SP's alliance with BSP and RLD.
He said they are spreading the canard that the BSP chief Mayawati will join hands with the BJP led national democratic alliance after the elections.
"The alliance is a long term political formation and none will go anywhere and all will stay together. None of us will go with the BJP and the nation is waiting for the new prime minister which will be decided soon after the Lok Sabha election results are announced on May 23", said the SP leader.
Asked about his party’s support for the BSP chief Mayawati for the office of the prime minister , the SP chief said," I will be happy to see new prime minister from Uttar Pradesh and whom I will support is well known , but this issue will be decided after May 23".
Akhilesh also lashed out at the Congress saying that they have admitted that they have fielded weak candidates in Uttar Pradesh. Congress is more interested in resurrecting the party’s organisation in UP, rather than fighting the BJP’’.
He added, "We have formed the alliance with the BSP and RLD to stop the BJP from c coming to power at the Centre."
SP chief addressed joint rally with the BSP chief Mayawati at Ballia on Tuesday.
Akhilesh Yadav along with BSP chief Mayawati and Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Ajit Singh will address the joint rally at Mau, and Deoria on Wednesday. Later Akhilesh Yadav will address election at Maharajganj in support of the Samajwadi party candidate Akhilesh Singh. (UNI)
