5 more candidates announced by SP in UP

Lucknow Mar 28 : Samajwadi Party on Thursday announced another list of five candidates for Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh.

Former BSP MLA, Puja Pal has been given ticket from Unnao seat, former SP minister Bhagwat Sharan Gangwar from Bareilly, Nasir Quereshi from Moradabad, Shyam Sunder Singh Yadav from Jhansi and Nathuni Prasad Kushawaha from Kushinagar Lok Sabha seat.

The SP had earlier declared a list of 23 candidates including one from Madhya Pradesh. The number of candidates announced so far by the Samajwadi party is 28 which also include one from Madhya Pradesh.

The Samajwadi Party is contesting the election in alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party. The SP will contest 37 seats and the BSP will fight on 38 seats. There are total 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP.

SP patron Mulayam Singh Yadav is contesting from Mainpuri, party president Akhilesh Yadav from Azamgarh, Dimple Yadav from Kannauj, Dharmendra Yadav from Badaun, Akshay Yadav from Firozabad, and Azam Khan from Rampur. (UNI)
