Lucknow, Mar 9 : Lucknow police has detained six youths, all natives of Sultanpur district, after Rs 3 crore cash was recovered from a flat of a high-rise building in Gosaiganj area of the Uttar Pradesh capital on Saturday.
Police said that on a tip-off, police raided flat no. 110 at Omax city and they recovered Rs 3 crore cash stacked under the bed. The seized currency was in Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 denomination.
Police also detained six youths who were staying in the flat and interrogation was underway at Mau police outpost, police added.
Last month, Lucknow police had recovered Rs 5 crore cash from an SUV outside a Mall in the state capital and had arrested two people in this connection. (UNI)
