Aligarh, Feb 6 : Claiming that his party will win 74 seats despite Bua-Bhatija alliance in Uttar Pradesh, BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday hit out at the All India Trinamool Congress leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee saying they will bag 23 seats in her state.
'So many scams and poor people’s money misappropriated but interestingly Mamata sat on a fast to save a police officer. How long can this go on? TMC workers are killing BJP men. We would not reply by violence but by pushing the lotus button in election," Mr Shah announced.
He said, "Mamata Banerjee prevented Yogi’s helicopter from landing. Prime Minister Modi was given a small ground. Why is Didi stopping BJP workers? We would win 23 seats in West Bengal."
Talking about the Ram temple at Ayodhya, he said the BJP wants the construction of Ram temple at the same spot in a grand manner." We have sought land to build Ram Temple and it will be done soon", he claimed.
Addressing the booth level in charge of Braj area here on Wednesday in presence of UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, UP Lok Sabha in charge and Union health minister J P Nadda and other senior BJP leaders, Mr Shah said the PM has established the name of India globally.
He also appreciated the Ayushman Bharat scheme saying more than eleven lakh poor given treatment so far.
Hitting out at the SP-BSP, he said ,"Bua bhatija might come together and they can also rope in Rahul Baba, yet the BJP will win 74 seats."
"BJP government in 2019 would lead to Uttar Pradesh as best state in India," he announced. Talking about the achievement of the Modi government, Mr Shah said, "Our jawans were burnt in Uri but Modi regime replied in 10 days by surgical strike. Only Americans and Israelis could do so but Modi took revenge of our jawans’ death."
He said Mr Modi will give Rs 7 lakh from 50,000 crore to farmers while changes have been made in GST for relief to traders.
Hitting out at the opposition particularly the Congress over the infiltrators, the BJP president said," Rahul Baba and company opposed action against those crossing borders. These infiltrators are vote bank of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party. In 2019 we will win and throw out infiltrators."
He further claimed that after BJP's victory in 2017 Assembly polls in UP, the dynasty rule in the state has ended while there is a change in the caste ridden state in the BJP regime.
On the occasion he also gave mantra to the booth in-charge claiming that in BJP booth in-charge provides victory." In 2014, I was mocked by Akhilesh when I claimed seventy seats in UP. In 2017, I claimed 300 seats in assembly election but we won 325 seats," he said.
After addressing the workers in Aligarh, Mr Shah headed for Bulandshahr along with the BJP leaders to inaugurate UP’s 51st district BJP office. (UNI)
