Hardoi, Dec 23 : Train traffic on the Moradabad-Lucknow rail route was disrupted after 20 coaches of a goods train carrying coal, derailed near the Baghauli railway station in this district of Uttar Pradesh, railway sources said on Sunday.
Sources said that debris and damaged coaches are being removed from the up and down route under the supervision of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Moradabad division AK Singhal since early Sunday morning. He said that the damaged rail line is expected to be made sound till late evening.
Sources said that eight trains running from Lucknow to New Delhi had been suspended, whereas 36 trains were being run after a route change, following the derailment of the goods train.
Rail traffic on the Lucknow-Bareilly route was also affected after the accident.UNI
