Lucknow, Nov 29: After holding a big Dharam Sabha on November 25 to give a push for the early construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has now decided to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the demolition of disputed structure in Ayodhya on Gita Jayanti (December 18).
The VHP, since 1992, has been celebrating December 6 as ‘Shaurya Diwas’. Now, the VHP has decided to follow Vikram calendar for all its programmes.
The mosque was demolished on December 6, 1992 on the occasion of Gita Jayanti, so public awakening for the construction of Ram temple will be conducted from December 18 (Gita Jayanti) to December 26 across the country, a VHP official said here on Thursday.
The VHP also has plans to organise a rally in Delhi on December 9. (UNI)
