Lucknow, Sep 15: To strengthen the party base ahead of the coming Parliament elections as well as to facilitate its leaders to utilise the work base for better booth level management, the Uttar Pradesh Congress is all set to launch the 'Shakti App' here, in the state next week.
The App has already been launched in Karanatka, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan and in some other places and would be soon spread across the country. Congress leader in the Legislative Council Deepak Singh, while confirming the launch of Shakti App in the state, claimed on Friday that the Party cannot strengthen itself, until they re-organise the party, till the booth level.
''The defeat or victory of any Party largely depends of how they had strengthen their booth as well as how they equipped their leaders to utilize that work force to the maximum”, asserted Singh while adding that this is what the Shakti App is all about. He claimed that the App is designed to interact with booth level workers and also, to get feedback from them.
According to Singh, the Shakti App is a special project designed under the direction of Congress president Rahul Gandhi to help strengthen the organisation. ``Through the App, it would also become easy for party workers to share videos, pictures and other documents, and empower each individual workers to give his suggestion to the party president”, further disclosed Singh.
To successfully implement the App here in Uttar Pradesh, Singh claimed that for micromanage every booth of a constituency, they directed the leaders to include all the Congress minded people with the above App which is very simple.
``To have desired results, every Congressmen must enroll people close to them, like their sons, daughters, friends, immediate neighbours etc”, asserted Singh while claiming that appeal for massive enrollment to strengthen the Party has been already made.
``To enroll, one has to send an SMS to 7045006100 with their voter identity card number and the party will establish two-way communication with them”, Singh revealed. Singh further said that in the future, the App will help the senior leaders to appoint district and city presidents of the party by directly getting feedback from the workers and those associated with the App. (UNI)
