Lucknow, Sep 10: The three teams of doctors have started investigation into the spread of mysterious disease that is killing children in Budaun and Bareilly districts in Uttar Pradesh by holding camps in the affected villages and speeding up co-ordination between the district and the state headquarters.
Government spokesman Awanish Awasthi said in a statement issued here on Sunday that the three teams have galvanized local teams by organizing camps are the villages. Rapid diagnostic kits are being used to identify the fever and where need be fever tracking mechanism has been put to use. Medicines are being distributed free of cost in the affected villages,” he said. Following reports of spread of fever in districts of Bareilly and Badaun, the government has sent three teams of doctors following a directive from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Of the three teams, two have been sent to Badaun, while one has been sent to Bareilly.
"The teams are extending help to the district administration and chief medical officers to effectively control the fever," Government spokesman said. “The teams have established coordination with the district administration and ensured availability of clean drinking water and cleanliness,” he said.
Awasthi said in case of verification of malaria in a particular house regular fogging will be done in and around that house. (UNI)
