Allahabad, Aug 08: Allahabad High Court on Wednesday sought all the reports pertaining to Deoria shelter home by August 13.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice D B Bhosle and Justice Yashwant Verma hearing a PIL on Wednesday passed these orders.
The PIL was filed by social activists Padma Singh and Anuradha seeking court monitoring of the CBI probe recommended by the UP government on the illegal activities of Ma Vindyavasini shelter home in Deoria.
The court during the course of the hearing sought to know whether the CBI has registered the case or not and asked the government counsel whether there was any politician or VIP involved in the sex racket.
The court has asked the ADG level officer to trace out the missing girls and sought details of the persons and their vehicle numbers ,who used to visit the shelter home. The court also asked the government about the rehabilitation of the rescued girls and sought submission of all the details before August 13.
On Tuesday, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath had recommended for a CBI probe on the Deoria shelter home incident after a two member probe committee submitted its report to the government.
The government had removed the DM Sujit Kumar and served him a chargesheet while a 3 member SIT team under the ADG (Crime) has been set up to investigate the matter till the CBI takes over the probe.
ADG (Gorakhpur) has been asked to probe into the role of the Deoria Police in the case too. (UNI)
