Ambassa(Tripura), Jun 09 : In a bid to contain further spread of COVID-19 infections in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai, the state government declared three BSF camps as containment zones which registered two active cases so far, according to the district administration here. Last night, Tripura State government declared 29 areas in the state as containment zones which would be sealed for next 28 days. Among those 29 zones three zones are in Dhalai.
The zones declared are-- 130 battalion BSF Head Quarter at Jawaharnagar, Ambassa with two active cases, Kulai BSF Camp of 86 battalion with zero active case and Kareena BOP of BSF in the bordering subdivision of Gandacherra with no active case so far. Following announcements, the movement into and out of the containment zones would be prohibited for the next 28 days and the administration would provide them with every essential service. Meanwhile, the condition of three positive patients under treatment at the newly set up COVID care centre in District Polytechnic Institute in Ambassa has been reported to be stable. (UNI)
