Tripura govt convenes all-party meeting to deal post-Covid situation

Agartala, Apr 28 : To handle the postCovid situation in Tripura, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb convened all-party meeting tomorrow inviting their proposals and suggestions supplementing the efforts of the state government to fight with coronavirus. Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath said here today that head of all 18 parties including five national parties were invited to attend the meeting on April 29 afternoon.

Mr Deb will chair the session with Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma while opposition leader Manik Sarkar and two senior ministers of the cabinet are scheduled to attend the meeting. “The state government has provided support and extended financial help to all sections of the people besides, providing health care support and maximum test facilities for Covid-19. With the benevolent support from all the political parties, NGOs, media and all other stakeholders, Tripura becomes Covid free now but there might be some crisis in post-Covid period where we need opinion from all,” Nath stated.

He mentioned that Tripura is a small state with limited resources had done wounderful to fight against Covid-19 and for coming days, the state government has a contingency plan to impending crisis after Covid is over where suggestions and proposal from all parties are very important and this is the reason being holding a meeting with them.
