Udaipur, Oct 3 : Udaipur which is also called temple city of Tripura all set on the eve of the upcoming Durga Puja.
The organisers are being organized pandal inauguration programme in the city yesterday.
Pranajit Singha Roy, Minister of Tripura on Wednesday has inaugurated Udaipur Bazar Sarbajanin Durgotsab organized by Udaipur Flowers Club here in the heart of the city Udaipur under Gomati District. The high officials of the district have attended the inaugural programme. The swiping staff of Udaipur Municipal Council and the old business men of Udaipur Bazar were felicitated by the organiser in the nick of inaugural programme.
"It is 70 years old Durga Puja organized by Flowers Club in the city of Udaipur. Different types of social activities are being organized by the club members in order to help the people. Like previous years this year also taken various initiatives on the eve of Durga Puja. A total of Rs 25 lakh is the budget of Durga Puja this year", ``said Ayan Paul, club member.
The pandal decoration has decorated as like as Panch Shiv Mandir temple. The temple is located in Patna. The pandal has constructed by local artist and the idol of Goddess Durga has made as like as Rajasthani design. The idol of Goddess Durga is made by artisan of Kolkata.
A high official level meeting conducted by police administration of Gomati District. The main goal of this meeting is the discussion between all the security officers in order to maintain law and order situation on the eve of the upcoming Durga Puja.
Rajib Nag, Additional SP Gomati District said, “A total of three subdivisions are here in the district and a total of 250 numbers Durga Puja organizing committees are being organized the puja this year. Numbers of puja has increased from previous years. The security arrangement is all set on the eve of upcoming puja in the district. According to requirement, a total of 1,500 numbers security persons to be deployed in different place”.
“As per requirement the police pickets have been set up outside. The police persons of Gomati District are enforcing an extra layer of surveillance across the city during the Puja. Foolproof security arrangements have been made to restrict any untoward incident. Though there is no specific terror threat, security has been increased, said a senior police officer of the district.
