Agartala, Sep 7 : The centre has released Rs 52 crore and more as wage component under the MGNREGA.
The report published on MGNREGA site that the maximum young age people are doing MGNREGA work and their age group is 31-40 year in the state of Tripura. The payment was made to the state government on account of the 6th installment of first tranche of central assistance for the financial year 2019-20.
According to official sources, 30 crore pending FTOs were cleared by the centre.
The state government had been asked to submit the utilisation certificate within 12 months of the closure of financial year which would include interest accrued.
An official letter from the Ministry of Rural development said, "This grant is towards plan expenditure and shall be utilized for approved items of works subject to the condition laid down in the MGNREGA guidelines is permissible".
Official sources said the funds would be credited in respective bank accounts with in maximum 48 hours. (UNI)
