Agartala, Aug 27 : The exploration giant ONGC Tripura asset has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bishalgarh Municipal Corporation of Sepahijala for streamlining the management of solid waste generated at household level and markets. According to the agreement, ONGC will pull fund of Rs 41 lakh under corporate social responsibility for solid waste management of the municipal corporation.
The project emphasized on better solid waste management in areas, which in turn will help to keep the area clean and hand-out a meaningful contribution in Swachh Bharat Mission. The project will cater about three lakhs people residents of Bishalgarh urban area. Addressing the gathering Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma said that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed the country into a cleaner, healthier India.
