BSF recovered contraband at Tripura border

Sonamura (West Tripura) Aug 6 : The jawans of BSF, 145 battalion has recovered cash of 4 lakh Bangladeshi currency last night in an operation at Sonapur village under Sepahijala district.

According to the report, the currencies were hidden in a helmet and the accused person ran away leaving his motorcycle. During the search at the bordering village on secret information, BSF jawans found the currency. The BSF were in a routine patrolling. Having a secret information, the jawans hide in a point along Sonamura-Belonia road at Sonapur under Sonamura Police station.

While one Taher Miah (43) riding on his motorcycle reached there, BSF challenged him and he ran away. BSF searched his motorcycle and helmet. The jawans found cash of 4 lakh Bangladeshi currency and 100 yaba Tablet kept in the helmet under cover. The BSF handed over these to Sonamura police station and a specific case was registered. UNI
