Agartala, May 29: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has warned the perpetrators of violence as well as the supporters and leaders of BJP to stop post poll violence and asked the police to go for action to ensure that such incidents do not recur henceforth.
Talking to newspersons last night he said the state government was contemplating to provide financial aid to the victims of post-poll violence and also directed the police to book all the accused persons and ensure exemplary punishment.
“ Violence on poll days, before and after the polls had become a tradition in Tripura during Left regime. But, the change of guard in 2018 bought a positive impact across the state,” Deb claimed adding that the miscreants do not have any political identity and always want to take advantage of ruling party but the BJP government would not spare them.
