Agartala, May 12: An average voter turnout of 31.9 per cent was recorded in the first four hours of repolling in the 168 of 1679 polling stations in West Tripura Parliamentary constituency.
The ECI had held the election in the first phase on April 11 last. Despite opposition's demand to hold repoll in all the booths in the West Tripura constituency, the Election Commision ordered repolling only in the selected booths.
So far no poll-related violence has been reported. However, the commission has made all arrangements to ensure free and fair polling by deploying Central Para Military forces in the poll bound stations.
