Ambassa (Tripura), Dec 5 : At least 33 people were injured after the bus carrying them fell into a gorge on Gandachara Amarpur road at Dhalai district on Tuesday.
According to police, Agartala bound private bus bearing number TR-01-B-1391 has fallen into a deep george taking a steep turn making 33 people injured in the incident All passengers were rescued by the police and locals and were admitted to a hospital.
According to the reports, out of 33, 22 passengers are said to be in a critical condition Reportedly, the bus primarily has lost control due to deplorable condition of the road.
Hearing the hue and cry of the passengers the local people have come into rescue and later the fire brigade from Gandacharra has rushed to the spot.
All of the 33 passengers have been taken to Agartala Medical College and Hospital (AGMC).
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with senior officials, visited the trauma centre of the hospital where the injured were admitted.
He said the state government will bear all medical expenses who were injured in the accident.
The injured passengers have been identified as Jatindra Riang, Elabati Riang, Tebarung Riang, Pacha Kr Riang, Minati Riang, Chingchung Mog, Prajaram Riang, Sudeb Das, Solajoy Riang, Nandan Acharjee, Pritam Mallick, Sukumar Das, Ninanjoy Riang, Jaganroy Riang, Tamaljoy Riang, Budhu Riang, Jyotirani Debnath, Jatindra Pal and others.
However, no casualty has been reported so far as has claimed the Superintendent of Police(SP) from Dhalai Sudipto Das.
However, the accident has taken place due to the negligence of the driver and deplorable condition of the road, according to the allegation of the commoners.(UNI)
