Ambassa, Oct 08: The long wait of Tripura government employees for 7th Pay Commission is likely to be ended as the cabinet is all set to award the same on Tuesday, according to the indication given by Tripura Minister Manoj Kanti Deb to UNI, here today.
The state government employees have been waiting for Pay Commission, however, the former Left government in its 25 years of rule provided only Pay Review Commission.
Before this year's Assembly election BJP had promised to implement the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) and accordingly P P Verma committee was formed in the first meeting of the cabinet.
But in last seven months the state government could not award the salaries based on the 7th CPC, fuelling speculations. Finally, the Chief Minister said the same would be given before the Durga Puja. (UNI)
