Hyderabad, Jun 2 : Thunderstorms with lightning and accompanied by gusty winds with speed ranging (30-40 KMPH) are likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next 48 hours, the Meteorological Centre warned on Tuesday. In a bulletin here, it also warned that thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema during the same period.
Further, it also warned that heavy rain is likely to occur in the districts of Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Siddipet, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurool, Wanaparthy and Jagtial of Telangana, Rayalaseema and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Light to moderate rain or thunderstorms is likely to occur at many places in Telangana, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next five days.
Maximum temperature is likely to be around 41 degree celsius to 43 degree Celsius at isolated pockets in Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours, the bulletin said. Heavy rain occurred at isolated places in Nagarkurnool district of Telangana and in Vizianagaram district of Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours. Rain occurred at a few places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and at many places in Rayalaseema during the same period. The highest maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius was recorded at Nalgonda in Telangana and 41.4 degree Celsius at Jangamaheswarapuram in Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours , the bulletin added.
