Hyderabad, May 28 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has instructed the officials concerned to observe the greenery and cleanliness programme in all the towns and villages in the state from June 1 to 8. The Chief Minister urged the officials to take all precautionary measures to contain the Corona as well against the possible outbreak of seasonal diseases during monsoon in the State.
He held a review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan yesterday on the measures to be taken in this regard in towns and villages. Minister KT Rama Rao, Principal Secretary (Municipal) Arvind Kumar, MAUD Commissioner Satyanarayana, Panchayat Raj Commissioner Raghunandan participated. In this context, the Chief Minister suggested works to be taken up in towns and villages. A release from the Chief Minister's Office late on Wednesday night said Mr Rao asked to take steps to clean the drainages, sewerages and allow free flow of the rainwater.
Fill up crates and pits with soil so that rainwater will not be stagnant. Fill up all the potholes on roads. Ensure that rain water does not stagnate on the roads, he added. The Chief Minister also said the works to fix the leakages of the drinking water pipelines should be taken up and water should not be contaminated with the leakages. Eradicate Mosquito larvae in Overhead tanks, underground water tanks, cement tanks, metal drums, earthen vessels and water harvesting tanks, he said, adding that fogging in all the residential areas should be conducted. Use Bytex spray to kill Mosquitoes larvae and also use Oil Balls, Clear all unwanted vegetation, spray one percent Sodium Hypochlorite Phenolic disinfectant at all the Bus stands, markets, Schools, Hospitals premises, ration shops and Cart stands, the Chief Minister said.
