Hyderabad, Apr 14: One more person died from Covid-19 in Telangana on Monday and worried Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao wanted officials and people to be more cautious in the backdrop of increase in the positive cases within the state and in the neighbouring states.
With the death toll rising to 17 and 32 new corona positive cases taking the state tally to 563 so far in the state on Monday, Mr Rao at a high-level review meeting on measures taken on contain the spread of coronavirus, implementation of lockdown and other issues held at Pragathi Bhavan here, instructed officials concerned to pay more attention in Hyderabad( under the GHMC jurisdiction area) , where highest number of coronavirus patients and deaths reported.
The CM wanted Hyderabad city to be divided into zones and each zone should be treated as one unit and each unit should have a special officer.
He also wanted the containment centres with positive cases should be managed properly. However, the government had earlier identified 243 places where there were coronavirus positive cases and in 123 areas (containment clusters) in GHMC limits.
The CM also instructed the medical and health department to be more vigilant and should be ready in all aspects. (UNI)
