Hyderabad, Mar 27 : Ten more persons were tested positive for the COVID-19 on Friday alone in Telangana, taking the coronavirus positive cases in the state to 59. Addressing in a press conference at Praghathi Bhavan here, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that one person was discharged from the hospital while around 20,000 people were put on quarantine.
The state would have faced the worst situation if the centre had not announced the lockdown, the CM said and appealed the public to maintain strictly the social distancing which is the only weapon and solution to curb the spread of COVID-19. The government was in preparedness to face any eventuality arises from virus, he said. Around 500 ventilators have been ordered to tackle the situation.(UNI)
