Hyderabad, Mar 26: Ministers, MLAs and MPs of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) have decided to contribute Rs 500 crore to the Telangana Chief Minister's Relief Fund to fight the coronavirus in the state. Telangana has so far reported 44 Covid-19 cases with three more fresh positive ones on Thursday.
To help the state government's efforts against the coronavirus outbreak, ruling TRS has decided that all its MPs, MLAs and MLCs will contribute their one-month salary to CM Relief Fund. Besides this, they will also contribute one year's constituency development fund to the CM Relief Fund. The total amount is estimated to be Rs 500 crore. Besides the MPs, TRS MLAs and MLCs also decided to contribute their one-month salary to the CM's Relief Fund.
Each MP gets Rs 5 crore as constituency development fund every year while each MLA and MLC gets Rs 3 crore for development of their constituencies. (UNI)
