Hyderabad, Mar 15 : Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy on Sunday said that at present, no panic like situation prevailing in India, but cautioned that everybody should be careful and take necessary precautions to stop spread of coronavirus. Talking to newsmen here, Mr Reddy said that India have taken all necessary precautions in this regard.
"India is the only country in the world that has arranged special flights to bring back its nationals from most- affected countries like Iran, Italy and other countries," he said. He said that the Central government also made necessary arrangements to create isolation wards in Paramilitary bases like CRPF, ITBP, Assam Rifles. Necessary training also extended to the concerned. The people who were in suspicious of coronavirus would shifted to isolation wards.
At present, one isolation ward with 500-bed capacity is functional at Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Noida, Reddy said and added that already two batches were released from ITBP after 14 days of observation.(UNI)
